The Korean War began on June 25, 1950. The cold war, which had previously not been based on physical fighting but on ideas, turned into a bloody, violent war. North Korea tried to invade South Korea, and United Nations had to fight against North Korea. The United States became involved quickly in the war. Some of the major events that will be described are the landing at Inch'on and the falling of Pyongyang. A key figure in the war who will be discussed is Douglas C.
